The service

Legiscan is an online service of CRYCATCH S.R.L. that analyses a website and produces a report: brand visibility on AI models, how readable the site is to AI agents, and conformance with the WCAG 2.1 level AA criteria required by the European Accessibility Act. You use it by entering the site's address: the free audit scans the homepage, the full report up to 25 pages. The report is read as a web page and downloaded as a PDF; signing in to the account area uses a link sent by email, with no password.

Conformance status

The reference standard is WCAG 2.1 level AA, as referenced by EN 301 549. The site is partially conformant: we test it with the same automated tool we offer our customers (axe-core in a Chromium browser, plus the site-wide criteria), and the manual evaluation of the criteria no automated tool can decide is not complete yet.

How the service meets the requirements

  • A “Skip to content” link at the start of every page, and page regions (header, content, footer) marked up as landmarks.
  • The page language is declared, in Italian and in English.
  • A visible focus indicator on every interactive element, all keyboard-operable because they are native links, buttons and fields.
  • Icons always carry a text name; status and error messages are announced to assistive technology.
  • Contrast set to level AA, light and dark themes, reduced motion when the system asks for it.
  • Buttons and menu items sized for touch.
  • More than one way to find pages: menus, the site map and a breadcrumb trail.
  • The report is a web page first: that is the reference version, and the PDF is its print.

Known limitations

  • Payment happens on Stripe's checkout page, which is outside our control.
